Your journey begins at Sealdah Railway Station, where you’ll board the Canning local train at 8:28 AM. After reaching Canning around 9:50 AM, you’ll be picked up by an auto or Tata Magic and driven to Godhkhali Launch Ghat. From here, your boat ride into the Sundarbans begins.

At 4:00 PM, you’ll take a short boat ride to the Sundarban Bird Jungle, where you’ll enjoy a beautiful sunset. Back at Pakhirala by 6:00 PM, the evening continues with local folk dances, snacks, and tea or coffee. Dinner is served at 10:00 PM, and you’ll spend the night on the boat.
Exploring the Wild
The day starts early with a boat safari through the Sundarban delta, one of the most exciting places to visit in Sundarban. You’ll explore rivers and creeks like Pirkhali, Banbibi Varani, Khonakhali, and Sudhanyakhali Watch Tower, where you might spot deer, crocodiles, wild boars, snakes, birds, and even the Royal Bengal Tiger if you’re lucky.
At 12:30 PM, you’ll visit the Do-Banki Tiger Reserve and walk along a 896-meter canopy trail. Then, at 1:30 PM, you’ll head to Panchamukhni, where five rivers meet, and explore the Jharkhali Tiger Reserve.
After a full day of adventure, you’ll return to Pakhiralay by 5:00 PM. Dinner is served at 10:00 PM on the boat.
Culture and Farewell
After breakfast, you’ll take a walk through a local village to see how people live in harmony with nature. Then, you’ll visit the Hamilton Bungalow and Rabindranath Tagore Bungalow, two historic landmarks that add a cultural touch to your Sundarbans tour.
Finally, you’ll board a boat back to the car and head toward Kolkata, with lunch served on the way. You’ll reach Canning or Kolkata by late afternoon.
